Connectivity in Reporting – EFRAG Publishes Discussion Paper

On 17 December 2025, the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) published a comprehensive Discussion Paper entitled “Connectivity of Financial and Sustainability Reporting.” Spanning more than 100 pages, the document explores how financial and sustainability reporting can be effectively connected, contributing to a more holistic approach to corporate reporting.

The paper is organised into the following key chapters:

  • Chapter 1: Background and scope,
  • Chapter 2: Underpinning concepts,
  • Chapter 3: Overview of illustrations of connectivity,
  • Chapter 4: Aggregated observations on current connectivity of reported information and
  • Chapter 5: Considerations for enhancing the connectivity of reported information and related aspects.

The paper should be read in conjunction with a Supplemental Document, which provides real-world illustrations from company reports to further explain the concepts discussed.
