19. September 2025
On September 18, 2025, EFRAG and DRSC jointly held a German-language public discussion on EFRAG’s proposals for the revision of the ESRS. Chiara del Prete (Chair of EFRAG SR TEG) and Georg Lanfermann (President of the DRSC) welcomed the more than 250 participants to the online event and explained the background and approach to developing the proposals for revising the ESRS. The European standardsetter EFRAG and the DRSC presented the proposed amendments to the ESRS and the preliminary view of the German standardsetter on some of these amendments. The proposals were then discussed by the participants, with some controversy. We would like to thank the participants for their questions and suggestions, which contributed to a lively discussion and a successful exchange on the proposals for the revision of the ESRS.
The event documents from EFRAG and DRSC are available here. A summary of the results of this public discussion round by EFRAG and DRSC will be available shortly. Next week, the DRSC will also publish its final analysis of the proposed amendments to the ESRS and complete its response to EFRAG on this basis.
