Management Commentary: Joint IASB and ASCG event

In cooperation with members and staff of the IASB, on 26 October 2021 the ASCG hosted a public webinar on the IASB’s Exposure Draft ED/2021/6.

The Exposure Draft, which was issued for public consultation in May of this year, contains the IASB’s proposals for revising IFRS Practice Statement 1 Management Commentary (PS 1).

Introduced by the president of the ASCG, Georg Lanfermann, the IASB Chair Prof Dr Andreas Barckow and the staff of the IASB presented the IASB’s proposals and discussed selected elements of these with participants of the webinar. Amongst other things, participants discussed the interaction of PS 1 with comparable EU requirements, in particular in light of the European Commission’s proposals for a revision of the Accounting Directive with respect to sustainability reporting.
