New composition of the ASCG’s Technical Committees announced

At its meeting on October 27, 2016, the Administrative Board of the Accounting Standards Committee of Germany (ASCG) decided on the new composition of the two Technical Committees. The terms of the appointed members start with the meetings on November 30, and December 1, respectively, and have now been staggered in order to prevent a simultaneous departure of all committee members.

“As had been the case with the first call for candidates in 2011, the response to this year’s call has been equally high and the applications have been very strong. This did not make it easy for the Nominating Committee and the Administrative Board to choose between highly qualified and highly motivated candidates,” Ralf Thomas, Chairman of the Administrative Board stated. “The applications are a tangible result of the outstanding reputation that the ASCG has earned through its activities over the years.”

The President of the ASCG, Andreas Barckow, adds: “The number and quality of the application received are reflective of the attractiveness of working in the Technical Committees of the ASCG. Peter Missler and I wish to express our deepest gratitude to all committee members for the good work and collegial atmosphere over the past five years. Through their input and effort they have contributed greatly to making the reformed ASCG a successful and respected organisation.”
