IASB publish Draft of an Amendment to IFRS 9
Today, the IASB has published the Exposure Draft ED/2017/3 which proposes an amendment to IFRS 9 Financial Instruments. As proposed, financial instruments that comprise prepayment features with symmetric (ie. positive or negative) compensation shall not prevent those instruments from being measured at amortised cost. On 21 March 2017 the European Commission has launched a public consultation on the operation of the three European Supervisory Authorities EBA, EIOPA and ESMA (ESAs).
