Reporting gets easier. Information events on the VS by the DRSC, DIHK, and IHKs

Reporting gets easier. This includes voluntary sustainability reporting according to the VS. In October 2026, the DRSC, together with the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) and several regional IHKs, will inform about the Voluntary Standard (VS) for sustainability reporting in public events. The final VS was published in the Official Journal of the European Union on September 21, 2026, via Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/1560.

These events are designed to inform companies about the content and application of the final VS. The standard provides companies that are not required to report on sustainability under the CSRD with a uniform, voluntary reporting framework. In addition, it limits the number of information requests (the so-called “value chain cap”) that companies required to report on sustainability may address to companies (with up to 1,000 employees) along their value chains.

In addition to presenting the VS, the event will focus on dialogue with companies that are already applying the VS or are planning to do so. There will also be an opportunity to discuss questions about the standard and its practical application.
