Follow-up: Public information events on the ESRS revision and the VS

On 12 May 2026, the DRSC held two public information events: one on the consultation regarding the ESRS revision, attended by around 350 participants, and one on the consultation regarding the sustainability reporting standard for voluntary use (Voluntary Standard, VS), attended by around 200 participants.

The DRSC’s objective was to provide an overview of the exposure drafts in collaboration with the European Commission and to encourage more in-depth engagement from all stakeholders. Special thanks go to Mr Sven Dietrich (Policy Coordinator in the European Commission’s DG FISMA), who presented the drafts. Feedback on the two consultations can be submitted via the links above until 3 June 2026.

In this context, the DRSC would like to draw attention to the DRSC study, published on 7 May 2026, concerning stakeholders’ assessment of Recommendation (EU) 2025/1710 on a voluntary sustainability reporting standard. This recommendation served as the basis for the VS.
